Welcome to the ERA website
The aim of the ERA is to promote an enabling legal and regulatory environment for e-business by informing, consulting, recommending and reviewing.
The ERA does this by;
- By having a long-range radar on proposed changes to legislation and policy so that they are able to address issues with legislators when it is most valuable.
- Through their strong channel of communication into UK government (particularly the Department for Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform and the Ministry of Justice) and Brussels.
- By effectively representing the collective views of their members in order to effect change.
The ERA are the only e-business forum in the UK that;
- Brings together a wide community of legal, regulatory, and policy-making professionals with a common cause.
- Provides an independent forum in which members can help develop government policies in areas where there is common cause among the whole e-business community.
ERA meetings are held under Chatham House Rules.
