The E-business Regulatory Alliance
is committed to protecting the privacy of those using our site and the
confidentiality of the personal information which is provided to us from time to
time.
2. Data Protection Act 1998
We have notified under the Data Protection Act
1998 and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data. This
includes obtaining your consent if we wish to pass on your personal data, for
example to other members of the E-business Regulatory Alliance. We will also
comply with the 8 data protection principles, namely
i. Personal data shall be
processed fairly and lawfully;
ii. Personal data shall be obtained for one or more specified and lawful purposes;
iii. Personal data shall be
adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purpose or purposes for
which they are processed;
iv. Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date;
v. Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary;
vi. Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the rights of the data subjects;
vii. Appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing;
viii. Personal data shall
not be transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area
without adequate level of protection.
3. Your personal information is safe with us
The E-business Regulatory Alliance
will never sell personal information or share personal information with any third
parties, unless we have to disclose your personal information in
order to comply with a court order or other legal requirement. The E-business Regulatory Alliance
uses the information we collect to serve our customers in the following ways;
If you become a
subscriber to the E-business Regulatory Alliance or a user
of other services your name, e-mail address, postal address and other
information on the subscription form are kept by us and used to remind you
when your next subscription is due and to send you other information on the
E-business Regulatory Alliance's
services. We will always ask you if we can disclose your contact details to
other members of the E-business Regulatory Alliance. We may also use your contact information to
let you know about enhancements to the Site and your subscription
entitlements.
4. Cookies

has introduced the padlock sign to
help an organisation point to the use of a Privacy Policy on their website. The
E-business Regulatory Alliance
will use this sign whenever we wish to collect personal information about you in
order that you can navigate easily to our Privacy Policy to remind you of our
commitment to protecting your personal information.

('Site') is on these terms. If you do not agree with the terms, then cease use
of the Site now. The terms are a contract between us and you may wish to print a
copy for future reference. We sometimes change the terms and changes will be
posted here.

We work very hard to make sure information on the Site is accurate and up to date. Please let us
know if you find anything that is wrong. However, you should check independently any information before you rely on it. No representations are made by us that

Some information contained on this web site is only available to members of the E-business Regulatory Alliance.

but you may download information from the Site for your own personal use. Fully
paid up members of the E-business Regulatory Alliance may download information
from the Site for business use. Except as otherwise expressly permitted under
copyright law, no copying, redistribution, retransmission, publication or
commercial exploitation of downloaded material will be permitted without our
express permission and that of the copyright owner.
ERA is the trading name for
the E-business Regulatory Alliance and all logos on the Site are our trade
names. You may not use them without our permission.
4. Liability
We do not accept liability for
any information contained on our web site. We will not be liable to you for any
indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or good will arising
from your use of the Site or information on the Site. Subject as provided below,
all terms implied by law are excluded.
We accept liability for death
or personal injury caused by negligence or responsibility for fraudulent
misrepresentation.
5. Law
You agree that English law
shall apply to these terms and to submit to the jurisdiction of the English
courts if a dispute arises. We aim to ensure our Site complies with English law
but not laws of another country. If there is anything on the Site that you are
not allowed under the laws to which you are subject to access or see, cease
using the Site immediately.
6. General
Any formal legal notices
should be sent to us at the address at the end of these terms by e-mail,
confirmed by post. Failure by us to enforce a
right does not result in waiver of such right. You may not assign or transfer
